Inpatient residential treatment is safe, structured, and effective in treating drug and alcohol addiction.
Residential treatment typically follows detox.
- First, our Care Coordinator will complete an intake assessment with the resident to identify medical, psychological, spiritual, and emotional needs.
- Then, we’ll develop a comprehensive customized addiction treatment plan and programming schedule that may include any of the following modalities:
- Clinical Groups
- Weekly One-On-One Therapy Sessions
- Relapse Prevention
- Life Skills Education
- Outside 12-Step Meetings
- Alumni Support
- Breathworks Meditation
- Music Therapy
- Recreational Outings
- Self-Care Outings
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Sessions
Every patient’s multi-disciplinary program utilizes an abstinence-based, disease-concept model of treatment, with the length of stay based on individual need.

HOW IS RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT AT THE MEND DIFFERENT?
At The Mend, we treat our patients like people — not just numbers.
Our boutique facility was founded upon the importance of client-staff connection, and we offer a high staff-to-client ratio that allows us to provide dedicated attention to each resident. In addition, there is 24-hour supervision and staff support.
Our residents benefit from a close-knit community bond that isn’t typically available at larger programs.
That caring focus — incorporated with a well-balanced clinical schedule, aftercare planning and a genuine bond with staff members — sets our clients up for success in a life without drugs or alcohol.
We strive to provide professional, timely, effective and individualized interventions to assist our clients. We value each client’s potential and we work hard to help our clients recognize and identify their own potential to assist them in a successful path to recovery. We understand that clients are in treatment to learn how to live their lives effectively and we do not expect them to have all the answers. We recognize relapse can be a part of recovery. We understand and accept that a critical element of treatment is educating the client in making effective and productive choices/changes, which is accomplished by focusing on positive rather than negative actions, attitudes, and behaviors.
